Our rich fruit cakes are made using a wonderful mixture of dried fruits, cherries and almonds. The fruit and almonds are soaked in an exclusive blend of quality brandy and Maple Whiskey from Monkhide for a delicious and aromatic final cake. After baking, the cakes are soaked in the same blend of brandy and Maple Whiskey and left to mature so that the flavours develop to their fullest.
Monkhide is a local liquer maker and their Maple Whiskey has won a Gold Good Taste Award.
Ideally, fruit cakes should be ordered a good month or two in advance to benefit from the full maturing process, but do not hesitate to contact us even if you are short of time as we are often still able to help.A wonderfully moist sponge loaded with vanilla extract for a sumptuous cake. Best filled with Vanilla Buttercream and Strawberry Jam, this cake is sure to go down a treat!
Made using real chocolate with no less than 50% cocoa solids, this cake is a lovely moist yet rich cake, perfect for chocolate loevrs everywhere. Perfect when filled with Chocolate Buttercream, Chocolate spread or maybe even a layer of Strawberry Jam.
